You need to fill out a complaint form as well. The complaint form is the Statement of Claim form that can be found in the Clerk’s office. After filing the complaint form, you should take advantage of process serving. Process serving is the best way to notify the defendant. Process servers can be paid to deliver the Service of Process and the Statement of Claim to the defendant. Process serving can be done by registered mail and does cost money.
